Her current favourite game is fetch. Yes, fetch. As in dog. A person throws a stick (an unused hot glue stick) down the stairs and Penne runs after it and brings it back, only to have it thown again. She likes a little twist to this game best though. Relay stick. One person working on the computer is interupted by Penne dropping a glue stick at their feet. That person then picks it up and throws it to a second person who is across the room. The second person throws the glue stick, and Penne retrieves it, bringing it back to the first person (at the computer) to begin the game again.
She is almost always playing either with people or Penobscot*. They love to play tag together. Other times she sits with Damariscotta* and preens, in an imitation of refinement.
Penne's latest passtime is helping garden. (In the windowbox garden.) She sits and waits while I deadhead the King Edward Blue Elves. She then eagerly devours the remains!
Penne can also be a very meditative cat. She loves to sit on the alter and meditate. Her meditation really has a different feel to it then when she thinks. Which she is always doing when she is not running about. She will find something like the fan and think and think trying to figure out how it is doing that...
Penobscot, is a patched, brown mackerel tabby, Maine Coon. He was born in Maine near the Penobscot River. He became part of our family on 15 May , 1995. His favourite passtime is sitting on someone's lap, purring and patting the person with his big pie pan paws. If the person puckers their lips he will "kiss". This involves touching his lips and nose to the person's face. He is a huge big ball of furry love. Being up on someone's lap is his obsession. If you can get him off your lap, he loves to chase bubbles that are blown for him.
